And it seems that she enjoyed it. She was isolated, but she brought things to do. She read a book. They brought her homework to do. One of the teachers she had been having problems with came in and fell asleep where she was working (I asked her if she ran to another teacher and told her that Mr. D was dead. She laughed--said no--and then said that she was sorry that she didn't think of that.). Another teacher who has gotten her into trouble apologized to her. When it was all over her friends got her and them thrown out of a Chinese Resteraunt. She's looking forward to tomorrow's suspension day, and she wished me a happy valentines day. That was mutual.

My daughter got two days of in-house suspension, which will not go on her record. She got the second d ay for laughing at one of the other teachers. We had a long talk about how that isn't why she's going to school. We will have more talks in the future about this. She'll be suspended Monday and Tuesday. I'll be in school on Thursday, and I'll meet and greet all involved. She's going to have to learn how to behave, and I'm going to have to brush up on Education Law.

Although I spoke with the Principal, and although he told me that he intended to suspend my daughter as we ended speaking, the last thing I heard was from my child was that the others had been suspended yesterday, but that she had not. After discussing it we felt that if she did not get suspended today she would not get suspended, notwithstanding what her principal said. So far, no word one way or the other.

and it was a rough one too. Much controversy, much conflict, and many bad decisions were achieved by my detractors and opponents. However, by the end of the week I had beaten them all again and corrected all of their mistakes. I should have a tremendous sense of accomplishment, but I am just plain tired, and I have more divorce crap to do.

get to get together with my daughter. She did ask me not to talk about her school trouble in front of the person who supervises visitstion. I told her 'ok' but I intend to ask her if she still doesn't want to talk about it when we get together, and I intend to discuss the situation with the social worker briefly after the visit.

My daughter told me she got into trouble with one of her teachers. We discussed her thoughts on how she intended to handle it. I asked her if she wanted me to call and talk to her teacher. She said no. I told her that I was going to talk to him at the next parent-teacher conference. She said ok.

Today, she tells me that she's getting suspended for, according to her, for reading someone else's writing book, and that she spent most of the day in the Principal's office. I asked her why I didn't get a call. She said that she didn't know. I asked her if they called her mother. She said that they did. I asked her what was her mother going to do. She said her mother was going to do nothing--she has a life.

I told her that we both have lives, AND parental responsibilities. I asked her if she wanted me to go to the school on Monday. She said no. I did tell her that I am going to call, however. She said okay. According to her, she said that she didn't want me to go to school because I have to work. Telling her that I'd get paid either way didn't change her position.

I know my daughter is entering her teen years. I know that the years of fighting have taken their toll on all of us. I heard her tell me the other day about some of her grades falling. All I could do was listen and tell her that she'll do better next time. I can't help wondering if it is normal teen activity, rebellion against the constant fighting (in court since 2002), bait to see which one of us cares--or what. I can't help wondering if I am reading too much into it. I can wonder, or ask, but I'll probably never know.

Nobody ever said that this was going to be easy...

But when it was over I think I still had the respect of all--those who count--and thouse who don't count. And, although my boss was angry about how something went, I think that once he probed into it he saw it for what it was--a cosmic accident and anger fest by a person who had suffered a bad turn of events and was just lashing out in frustration and anger. Yet, all the nonsense cost me a day, and a critical day at that. But I did everything possible to mitigate the loss of time.

But it seems like spring is in the air. I walked around in 50 degree weather today. Usually, this time of year, I'm doing 50 below with the wind chill. I'm starting to really get that itch, if you know what I mean. The woman who had my interest across the street from my office is never around when I pop in, and if she popped in while I was working I wouldn't even notice being as busy as I am. We'll see each other again soon though. We usually do.

But whether that becomes something or not, I'm beginning to feel that itch. Is it spring fever? Is it related to the weather? Is it all the hormones? I don't know. Damn! I'm in heat!!!

I'm going to hang out with my daughter. She and I have talked about a lot of heavy stuff lately, and I suggested a way where SHE could change custody, and I don't mean exercising the type of lies and character assassination that her mother used. I meant by using patience, and waiting about two years. And, I left the decision up to her. I told her no matter where I am I'll always have a room for her. And, if she lived with me she could see her mother as often as she wanted (from never to everyday--her choice).
She's almost old enough to make the decision, so she's old enough to ponder it.

I survived another day in divorce court, in just another day in my divorce. Things went well, but strange.

STRANGE THING 1: My attorney never showed up. Not even after I called her office.

STRANGE THING 2: My attorney told me to go down and find her partner; however, after that didn't work, they realized that I was in a different courthouse.

STRANGE THING 3: My attorney's partner wanted me to obtain an adjournment; I put her on the phone with my wife's attorney.

STRANGE THING 4: Despite the view that my wife's attorney speaking to me is unethical, we discussed hypotheticals, and agreed to sit down in a 4 way and work everything out.

Strange day--and a very big grin....

I tried to broker peace in Alt Blogville. I wasn't successful. When, close to the New Year, fighting was errupting again, I threatened to leave if it didn't stop. I had been trying to be friends on both sides. I guess that was impossible.

Yet, the flare ups quieted down, thanks to UTMaster and not me. Despite that, I felt that I was a part of the solution. Problems I noticed seemed to be happening off the blog there at ALT. Then, I heard what was happening to someone I like here. I posted an inquiry.

People responded. Some responded in e-mail alone. I was shocked, and I shifted over to blogspot. Although I intended to do both blogs, once I landed here I essentially dropped Alt.

My new years resolution was that if the trouble makers didn't stop I was leaving ALT. They went underground, which means that they didn't stop. I left. Although my blog is still there, I have no intention of returning.

I did, however, peek in. I guess I was curious. I wanted to see what was happening. I read friends. I read foes I had been trying to pretend were friends.

Then, I saw a post that caught my eye. It was from the great windbag of Atlanta Georga himself. In that post he talked about how someone had insulted transgenders, and so--being curious--I looked. And, I guess, in a way--in the midst of mutual name calling, 'someone' asked the great windbag if he was hanging around with any transgenders lately; I'm paraphrasing, as I really wasn't intending to make the event the focus of my life.

To be honest, I was a little insulted. I wasn't angry. After all, I had been discriminated against by experts. This was pretty light weight stuff when all was considered.

Yet, it left a bad taste in my mouth. I felt that the intended target was the foul mouthed Savanna--who I happen to like to some degree, and who is going through some of the same personal shit that I am going through. Yet, I know how Venus and Tgirltopping probably felt reading that.

To put it mildly, it wasn't right to step on people even if it was to get to the great windbag of Atlanta Georgia. So, I'm sure that the offending party knows who he is. No apology is necessary. Just my thoughts and my two cents on the matter.

Yes! You guessed it! I still can't post the links--I think! What I did looks like it failed. (I feel so inadequate!) Any pointers or suggestions appreciated. (I really feel so inadequate!)

I was used to blogging at Alt.com, even though it was difficult. This is all new to me! Even though I came here in December I never did anything until the other day. Posting, loading pictures, selecting watched blogs, all are new events--some of which I have no idea how to do!

Still, it is nice to be here....

And I agree. Certain unpleasant people made ALT an unpleasant place. I tried to make peace, but that did no good. Now I wonder about a counterattack.

But, I have better things to do than go after aggressors. My child consumes my time. The fight with my soon-to-be-ex, the need to find a new place to live, all consume my time--not to mention the impact on my health.
